Ian, Andrew and I went to exercise group this morning! But we just did 30 minutes, because Andrew had done enough! I'm glad that we did leave then, because she was brutal! We did so many squats that of course my legs are killing me today!! Good thing the only other form of exercise I'm doing before the race is swimming!!

I ran 2 miles today.
It was a little harder than the last time, but only because I was SO tired. (We haven't been getting much sleep lately.) But my time was still pretty good...19.20. Under 20, atleast. :) My new goal for my race is just to make it in under 30 minutes. I don't even care by how much! I just can't be a exercise oriented as I used to be. I'm too tired!

I swam 36 lengths today. (Which equals a 1/2 of a mile!)
I met my swimming goal today!!! I swam a half mile!! It wasn't in a half hour...we took a little longer swimming tonight, but I still did it!! My next goal will be to swim a half mile in 30 minutes! :)

Andrew, Ian and I also walked to the park today for playgroup.
So add another 1 mile walk onto my daily total.
Playgroup starts at 10, and boy was it ever HOT! We talked, while there, about moving the time up to nine, so hopefully next week it won't be quite as bad. Of course, we also talked about switching parks, which won't be good for walking to, as this park is the only close one to our house. O'well...can't have everything! :)

I rode T.J. to school on the bike today.
3 miles.
It was harder today than it has been in awhile....I'm not sure why though. But all throughout the ride, I kept looking back, checking the tires, just to make sure I wasn't riding with a majorly flat tire or something.
It didn't even seem to make much of a difference after I dropped T.J. off!!
Life is getting hard again for me...this current brand of bc doesn't seem to be working very well at all anymore. (Luckily I called in to the doctor's office this morning and they were able to put in a prescription for a new kind - a higher dosage kind - that I can start tomorrow. I sure hope that it works better, because I am ready to feel good again!)
I'm not sure of the reason why I was having a harder time bicycling today...Maybe because I'm tired (although I've been getting between 7-8 hours of sleep each night, but that could be a result of bc...), or it could be that I've burnt myself out. I have given up on my 'exercise every day' plan. I just don't have the energy to take care of my three kids, husband and house and have the energy to exercise hard on top of it. So my new plan is MWF and Sat. We'll see how that goes, but it should be enough to keep me in shape and happy with myself. :)
***note to self: I'm thinking that today could have been my last day riding the bike this season. It was way HOT this morning!!! I might just switch to exercise group at church from here on out. But maybe not...it's still in the works!

I rode T.J. to school today on my bike.
3 miles
Doesn't ever seem like a long hard ride, until you put a bike trailer on the back and throw in a 50 lb. kid. Then it becomes a lot. :)
On Friday, I had both T.J. and Ian in the back with me. Boy was that hard!! So this morning, when I had only T.J., and I hadn't exercised yesterday (Sunday) I wondered why I was having such a hard time with it. It wasn't until I had dropped him off at school and was on my way home that I figured it out, because it didn't get any easier with T.J. out of the trailer than it did with him in!!
The problem: I had left the wind shield up, due to the nice weather. I didn't want T.J. to get too hot.
As soon as I figured that one out, I pulled over and quickly put the wind shield back down. Much better! :)

Week of April 13- April 18
Taken from our family blog and moved to here. I'll start up for real next week!
As I prepare for my race, I just wanted to keep track of what I was doing each day!
4/13: ran 2 miles (in about 22 minutes...need to work on that one!)
4/14: walked 1.2 miles with the boys
4/15: due to the stinkin wind, I couldn't take T.J. to school on the bike, so I went to an aerobics class instead! (45 min)
4/17: 3 mile bike ride with 2 kiddos in the trailer.
** I also went swimming today... 32 lengths (just for you, mom!), just 4 lengths shy of a 1/2 of a mile.
4/18: ran 2.3 miles (20.17 minutes)
